A recent report claims that WhatsApp is developing a new function that will let users mute calls from unauthorized numbers.
Users will be able to decline calls from unknown numbers on WhatsApp although such calls would still appear in the call history and notification center. According to WABetaInfo, a service that tracks WhatsApp, you may be able to minimize spam calls with this feature and reduce interruptions.

The insider claims that Meta’s messaging service is actively working on a new feature that would enable customers to ban calls from any number. Calls from unknown numbers are always muted while the toggle is enabled, but they are still visible in the call history and notification center.
In the app’s settings, you can find the Toggl. Also, this new feature could significantly lower spam calls for users. According to a source, unsolicited calls from scammers have made spam calls a growing problem in recent years, and instant messaging apps are no exception.
Users will now be able to easily mute calls from unknown numbers, which are usually associated with spam calls, to stop receiving them. At the moment, WhatsApp allows users to report and block unwanted callers. In a future update, the app will include a function that allows users to block calls from arbitrary numbers.
In related news, WhatsApp is aiming to update its iOS attachment menu so that it is consistent with the one that is already available on WhatsApp for Android. The new chat attachment feature is still under development but is expected to show up in a later edition of the application.
