In the late 1970s, Marie announced her enthusiasm for theatrical productions after attending a Queen concert. When she was about four years old, her parents got divorced, and she moved home with her mother while still making frequent trips to see her father.

Marie became a co-heir to Elvis’ Memphis estate, Graceland, when he unexpectedly went away in August 1977 at the age of nine. Graceland is today a popular tourist destination. To Whom It May Concern, Marie’s debut album, was released in April 2003 and received a gold certification in June of the same year. It peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

In April 2005, Marie released her second album, Now What, which she co-wrote and produced with Billy Corgan and Gus Black. This album debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. In the course of her nearly 20-year career, Marie has put out three studio albums, nine singles, and nine music videos, the majority of which reached the top 50 on the Billboard charts.

In appreciation for Marie’s commitment and accomplishments to the city, Mitchell J. Landrieu, the mayor of New Orleans, also presented her with a Certificate of Proclamation.

Presley mentioned writing an autobiography in a 2013 interview with The Huffington Post. “It’s not completely impossible. Instead of conjectures, I would want to have my life on the internet in my own words.”

Benjamin Keough, the son of Maries, tragically committed himself in 2020 at the age of 27 by shooting himself in the head. She stated in a different interview with People that “his death utterly detonated and ruined my life and the lives of my three daughters. We do this every single day of our lives.
